Surrounded by fields and woodlands and overlooking an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bective Bed and Breakfast offers peace and tranquility, while being close to local attractions and amenities.
We offer a warm, friendly welcome, comfortable beds and tasty breakfasts made with locally sourced, home-made and organic products wherever possible. Vegetarians, vegans and those on a gluten free diet will be offered delicious alternatives to our full English breakfasts.

Bective B&B is situated between Haywards Heath and the picturesque villages of Lindfield and Ardingly. The world famous gardens of Nymans, Wakehurst Place, High Beeches, Leonards Lee, Sheffield Park Gardens and Borde Hill are within a short drive. Ardingly Showground is under 10minutes away. The vibrant towns of Lewes and Brighton are all within easy reach by train or car.
Gatwick Airport is a 22 minute drive away. Haywards Heath railway station is 1.5 miles from Bective and offers frequent trains to London (45mins) and Brighton (20mins).
The High Weald Landscape Trail passes the door and there are many other lovely walks in the area. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within a few minutes drive, including the renowned Jeremy's restaurant at Borde Hill Gardens. Bective B&B is the closest B&B to Jeremy's, making it very convenient accommodation for wedding or party guests.

OUR ROOMS
Bective Bed and Breakfast offers one double bedroom with with an ensuite shower-room, and one twin bedroom with a private bathroom.
Both rooms offer flat screen TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and Wifi access. Children and pets are welcome at hosts' discretion (a small additional charge may be made).

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA
Nymans Gardens
One of the National Trust's premier gardens, Nymans has views stretching out across the Sussex Weald.
Wakehurst Place
With over 500 acres of ornamental gardens, woodlands and a nature reserve, Wakehurst is also home to the Millennium Seed Bank, the largest wild seed conservation project in the world.
Sheffield Park Gardens
A horticultural work of art with influences of 'Capability' Brown and Humphry Repton. Four lakes form the heart of the garden, with paths circulating through the glades and wooded areas surrounding them
Borde Hill Gardens

The Garden was created in the early 1900s with plants gathered by the great plant collectors and contains the best private collection of champion trees in Britain
Lewes
Lewes is a lovely market town with a vivid history. Visit Anne of Cleve's house, Lewes Castle or visit one of the many independent, antique and quirky shops.
Brighton
Brighton is a small city that packs a big punch, filled with historical sites, great restaurants, shopping, theatres, cinemas and bars. Have an ice cream on the beach or fish and chips on the Palace Pier!
